"Euro Folk – Vladimir Visotski 2008" International Bard Festival

“Euro Folk – Vladimir Visotski 2008" International Bard Festival is held within the scope of "Euro Folk 2008" Musical Feasts - The world is television.
Musical Feasts “Euro Folk 2008” comprise more than twenty international festivals and are held under the aegis of European Association of Folklore Festivals - EAFF.
Main event of the Musical Feasts “Euro Folk 2008” is Festival №1 in Europe of the traditional folk arts – Stara Planina Fest “Balkan Folk “. Every year from 9 000 to 15 000 musicians, singers and dancers participate in it.
Typical feature of Musical Feasts “Euro Folk” is, that all performances are recorded with professional audio and television technics and the best of them are broadcasted by more than 50 cable televisions in Bulgaria, the satellite televisions “Eurocom Bulgaria”, “Rodina TV” and “Heros TV”, as well as by the World Wide Internet Television “Euro Folk” at www.eurofolk.com/tv . All this activities realize the main purpose of Musical Feasts “Euro Folk – The world is television” to popularize the traditional folk arts through the great possibilities of media. “Euro Folk – Vladimir Visotski 2008" International Bard Festival gives honor to the world – famous Russian bard Vladimir Visotski and to the numerous bards all over the world, who have been making glad and make glad people souls with their songs. “Euro Folk – Vladimir Visotski 2008" International Bard Festival has for an object creation of possibilities for expression of singers, poets and musicians, which perform independently their or somebody else’s songs with their own musical accompaniment. The best of them shall be broadcasted by the above mentioned televisions.Preliminary Program
The fest program includes competitions in the following categories:
- Bards with their own songs;
- Bards with somebody else’s songs.
The jury has the right to ask for partial performance if it exceeds the prescribed time limits. Participants, however, must be prepared, if requested, to perform the program in its entirety.
During the Festival studio audio recordings and filming of professional video clips of participants' program will be made of the ones, awarded by the jury or pay for the recordings.
It is recommendable that the program does not exceed 30 minutes.
It is recommendable that the participants consider at least 3 days in order to make audio recordings and video clips of high quality.The made recordings will be broadcasted by 50 Bulgarian cable televisions and by 3 satellite televisions with European holding, as well as by the World Wide Internet Televisions “Euro Folk and “Rodina TV”.
During the participation of the collective in the Fest it could be invited by the organizers to take part in the common events - official opening, official closing, cocktail and others.Regulations
“Euro Folk – Vladimir Visotski 2008" International Bard Festival is held within the cope of seven performing days and evening concerts. It enables the bards to realize their creative projects on an open and already acknowledged scene, on which is held Stara Planina Fest "Balkan Folk" - №1 European Fest for traditional folk arts.
Main task of the organizers is to give creative personalities an opportunity of expression on stage and including them in a competition program, that determines the best of them, as well as popularizing the award winners by broadcasting in the European TV air. The participation fee is 150 leva. That includes festival service and a DVD with a video about the festival and the entire performance of the participant.“Euro Folk – Vladimir Visotski 2008" International Bard Festival is organized by Euro Folk Academy, Balkan Folk Academy and other organizations within the scope of "Euro Folk 2008" Musical Feasts - The world is television from 21 to 27 October 2008.
Host of the Festival is the former Bulgarian capital Veliko Tarnovo.
Awards
Grand-Prix "Euro Folk 2008 - Orpheus" and a diploma. The award is decided by the jury in accordance with the procedures, set by the members before the opening of the festival and announced to the entrants on the opening day. Together with the Grand Prix goes free of charge shooting of video clips and making of DVD with duration about 40 minutes.First awards "Orpheus" in each category and a diploma. Together with “First Award” goes also free of charge shooting and making of TV broadcast with video clips and plain time about 23 minutes.All award winners are granted with a Diploma as laureates of "Euro Folk 2008". The awards are granted on a ceremony during "Euro Folk 2008" Musical Feasts - The world is television. In jury’s and producers’ judgment best performers are honored with a Diploma for obtaining the rank Maestro or Maestro Academic.All award winners get free of charge a copy of the TV product, which consists their performances that has been broadcasted in Bulgaria or in Europe.
Participants can order against payment TV broadcast with their performances. These products are broadcasted by the above mentioned televisions. The performances should have duration about 23 minutes and they are video clips are shot and fit. Shooting and making of TV broadcast costs 590 leva. Shooting and making of DVD with duration about 40 minutes costs 950 leva.Participants do not get paid for their performance.
The deadline for sending the application forms is 20.09.2008.The jury is international and consists of 3 persons.
Unambiguous text: The participants , if approved by the jury to participate in the fest, cedes to the organizers the right to be recorded on video and audio, arranged in a program, presenting the festival and broadcasted by a TV channel or some other way, for which a contractual agreement will be signedAccreditations
Every musical company, community centre, school or an independent organization can send its representatives to the festival, as the expenses for their stay are taken by the side that sends them.
General Conditions
A 10% advance payment of the total amount for lodging or board and lodging (calculated on the chosen by the group prices and the number of days to stay) should be deposited /in EURO/ at BULGARIAN POST BANK - branch Veliko Tarnovo, IBAN: BG97BPBI79311447679001, S.W.I.F.T. BPBIBGSF by 20.09.2008 to Euro Folk Academy Ltd. For example, for a group of twenty-five people who would stay at a two-star hotel, boarding and lodging for six days the amount comes out to: 25 x 6 x 29 = 4350 EURO. The deposit is 4350 x 0.1 = 435 EURO. This amount should be deposited on the appointed account. The discounts will be substracted by the final payment that will be made at the arrival day.

On each group of 20 people the guide gets service for free.
The sender covers all bank taxes.
All filled in and signed applications will mean acceptance of the terms laid by the present regulations.

The registration of the participants on their arrival in Veliko Tarnovo will be held at the Palace of Culture and Sport “Vasil Levski”.
